Natahala River.......

This is where we put into Natahala....... at the bottom of the class 5 where few venture....
One of our Guides told us she went through the class 5 and her experience was a messy ride! Ally is a young, yet experienced River Guide, but Natahala beat her up pretty good. She came out of the class 5 with a bloody face and her helmet broken in two.

I have ridden Natahala's white water but obviously, was correct to choose to get out before the class 5! Mostly Olympians only make it successfully through this ride!!!!! Actually, this is one ride the Olympians train on.... This part of the River shows no mercy to anyone....

Now to set out onto the peaceful part of Natahala's River XOXO

Met a Spirit Tree along the way.... OUTSTANDING and WOW at all the White Willow's growing out of the water.... the inside of the bark is Wonderful Medicine for headaches!!!!

Through the trees and into the clearing.... heading for the bend in the River....

Once we hit the bend, we took off and left the group with one of our Guides to enjoy the peaceful moment of Sacred Land.... This is private land owned by the Cherokee - Bird Falls.... A 150 foot Waterfall untouched by man.... This waterfall is protected by a Great Spirit.... We were Welcomed and never touched land.... just Enjoyed the moment....

This was truly an amazing day... mist still on the water; herons flying over head and a beautiful Red Tail Hawk blessed us along the way!!!! We were graced by the presence of Elk coming back to camp....

And last but not least... the River we camped by....
